Pressure Formed HDPE Enclosure
When our customer needed a dispenser enclosure that resisted a permanent adhesive, HDPE was the only choice. While polyethylene is a tough material that resists solvent attack, it is difficult to keep it’s shape true to form. The challenge was forming an enclosure that was attractive in appearance and precisely shaped. Injection molding was prohibitively expensive given the large size of the part. Universal Plastics employed precision pressure forming to make a color matched, texture matched, detailed HDPE enclosure that met all of the customer’s exacting requirements.
