Our large, 42’x 44’ woodshop offers extensive experience creating fixtures and solutions for finishing parts. Over 3,000 wooden fixtures have been made in-house over the past 30 years. These fixtures hold the parts down to insure effective and efficient finishing techniques.
Our paint assembly unit contains 9 paint booths with an automated paint line. With our heated nitrogen paint booth, each coat is heated which insures 50% faster drying times on each coat, allowing for faster cycle times which will improve cost. This is done without altering the properties of the paint. Sags, runs, drips and orange peel become a thing of the past. This process ensures consistent results on each part. For high textured painting, we have solvent and aqueous paints. RF/EMI Shielding is also a solution for a lot of our medical parts.
We offer ultrasonic bonding to meld two or more plastic parts via a unique sonic welding process. This process creates an incredibly strong bond, and can be used to combine parts made of different plastics or polymers. Heat staking is also part of our process. This technique is completed on most our complex assemblies.
Universal Plastics’ pad printing processes can add your company logo, instructional graphics, or any other design or wording of your choosing to the surface of plastic injection molded parts. Our automated process ensures perfect accuracy and outstanding repeatability. We have two Tampo pad printing machines capable of multiple color applications.
Packaging and Shipping:
We also pack and ship from our facility. Each pallet is individually stretch wrapped for secure storage and transportation of product. Our packaging includes bulk, cell, foam/bubble and layer packing for part protection. We also have part identifying and barcode labeling capabilities for secure shipping. Our labeling process uses pressure sensitive adhesive and hot stamping.
