Pressure Formed Enclosure | Universal Plastics

The Customer’s Challenge:

One of the world’s largest engineered surface treatments companies needed a dispenser enclosure that resisted a permanent adhesive. They had considered polyethylene because it is a tough material that resists solvent attack; however, it is difficult to keep its shape true to form. In addition, injection molding was prohibitively expensive given the large size of the part.

Universal Plastics’ Solution:

Universal Plastics realized right away that HDPE was the optimal choice of material. The next challenge we met successfully was to form an enclosure that was both attractive in appearance and precisely shaped.

The End Result:

Universal Plastics employed precision pressure forming to make a color matched, texture matched, detailed housing that met all of the customers exacting requirements.
